i listen to songs on repeat. sometimes albums, just over and over and over again. these are five that i have been living to recently.
the twilight sad – the room :: my favorite on an album filled with awesome.
check out this live performance of the song ::
…
cold war kids – hang me up to dry :: something about this just grabbed a hold of me and hasn’t let go. although i can’t quite figure out the weird piano bit right in the middle, it always throws me off a little…
…
lamb – gabriel :: i think this is just a totally and completely beautiful song. I kind of want to transcribe all the lyrics here, but in the interest of space, i’ll just give you my favorite line…
“I crave the light that he brings
Revel in the songs that he sings”.
here it is live ::
…
this land used to be my land, now i hate this land – pomegranates :: while i really enjoy this whole song, the best part is the lyric near the end …
i’m so tired of living in the city
and never being able
to see the stars at night
and yes i know
we are so far apart
we’re still looking at the same night sky
…
tool – forty six & 2 :: i love tool. there is always at least one tool song in my heavy rotation playlist. i don’t know if love is even the right word for it. i just tried to describe it, and had to delete it like five times cause my descriptions just sound cheesy and ridiculous. it is a physical thing though, i love the way the music feels in my body. see? cheesy and ridiculous. take my word for it though, if you turn tool up REALLY loud and lay on your back on your bed and close your eyes, it’ll take you places. try it. let me know how it goes.

Totally hear you on hang me up to dry… listen to it over and over on my ipoohed
